- Welcome & Introductions: Committee Members in attendance were: Angela Gorall, Alex Hanna, Paul, Theys, Sandy Kemper, Matt Hahn, Steve Soukup, MarkTaggart , Laura Mossakowski , Debra Lom, Jennie Wertel, ShawnSchneider , Amanda Schultz, Jan Zimmerman, Chance Nelson
- Approval of Minutes: Motion by Theys/Soukup to approve the March 2014 minutes as presented. Motion carried unanimously.
- 501(c)(3) Designation – Continued Review, Discussion & Implementation. End of May actual documents will be sent in. Will hear back in 3-6 after filed. Checking account has been moved from the Village to the Dog Park. The new checking account is at Denmark state bank. Bylaws have been revised with feedback from last meeting. Laura’s business address is being used on the check book and on 501 (c ) 3 documents. The following Dog Park Board members have signing rights on the checking account: Shawn, Paul and Laura.
- Thank you letter process:. Dog park committee will take over writing thank you letters from the Village. Hahn recommended sending out thank you at the end of dog park Karnival. Lom will email an example of the letter.
- Transfer of minutes and agenda responsibilities. The dog park Secretary Shawn will take over minutes and agenda responsibilities. Lom willEmail template of agenda and minutes to Shawn. The Dog Park Board will start posting minutes and agenda’s on the dog park website.
- Website progress: Paul got website up and running. Mark will proof read website.
- Parks and Leisure Services Community Needs Assessment Focus Group. June 3, 5-6 p.m. Lom invited the dog park committee to attend a Community Needs Assessment Focus Group Meeting on June 3rdat the Public Safety Builing
- Approval for InMotion Hosting, Inc. Reimbursement to Paul Theys in the amount of $95.87. Motion to approve reimbursement Mossakowski / Soukup motion carried unanimously. Auto-pay for website domain name Motion to approve autopayMossakowski/Kemper motion carried unanimously.
Theys suggested setting-up a paypal account for the website. Paypal would charge 2.2% + $0.30 per donation. Committee suggested making note for donors on website that a percentage would be taken out, and suggest mailing a check. Group would need to wait until they are officially a 501 (c) 3 to receive the nonprofit rate. Soukup/Hahn motioned to set up pay pal once group has official 501 (c ) 3 status motion carried unanimously,
Theys suggested group look into setting up Ebay giving. There is no charge to the dog park to participate in ebay giving. For every $1 that comes in the dog park would get the full $1.. Put in an auction, 10% would go back to Bellevue Dog Park. Committee members will ask companies todesignate Dog Park as charity of choice. Soukup/Mossakowski motioned to set up dog park as a charity on ebay motion carried unanimously.
- K-9 Carnival Planning (Saturday, May 10). Oakview will be a title sponsor. Forever friends will be a partner sponsor. Green Bay Animal referral will be a partner sponsor. Laura also stated she will be partner sponsor. Hahn will need logo of partners for sponsorship signs. Hahn handed out map of booths for the event.
Wertel mentioned she would need a Cash Box for donations for the dog wash and nail trim booth.
Hahn confirmed Lure course will be at the event. Hahn has not heard back from Friends of Bellevue Park regarding helping with concessions. Laura confirmed Massage Therapist, they will need a flat surface and card table for business cards. Steve Soukup will be the Happy Joes contact and he will ask Jeremy at Costco to donate food and beverage for the event.
Hahn stated Bounce House has been confirmed for the Karnival.
Debra said she will announce Bucket Raffle.
Happily Ever After is a yes to participate.
Jennie has received a couple of donated raffle baskets for the event.
Mossakowski suggested purchasing Dog Park T-shirts to wear when soliciting donations.
Laura will try to get a Donald Driver signed jersey.
Jennie will check into Bull Frogs, timber-rattlers, Blizzards Tickets.
Mossakowski has a Blizzard Jersey for the group can use for a raffle prize.
Steve will look into making yard signs for the K-9 Karnival,
Group decided to make raffle basket signs before the event. All gift baskets can be sent to Sandy, have a gift basket party at the end of next meeting to make signs.
Lom mentioned she sent out Press Release for the event.
Shawn emailed three radio stations about event. Chance and Amanda will follow up with radio station,
Taggart suggested asking Facebook friends to like the Bellevue Dog Park Page.
Amanda works at Grand Central Station and could potentially sell paws at her work.
- Movie In the Park (Friday, August 1). Tabled for next meeting.

- Fund Balance – Recent Donations Update: $250 from Denmark State Bank. Checkbook balance $29,817.62. Mossakowski mentioned Lizer is willing to donate $2,500 in-kind service for lawn care.

- Other Matters: Update on the dog walk, applying for a grant. The dog walk has been approved by the Village with a modified route. The event will be held May 30th from 4:30-7p.m. Walk will start at 5:30 p.m.
