BE HEALTHY / An effective system of pastoral care exists to support the well-being and learning of children and young people

Children and young people are taught emotional intelligence to enable them to manage their own feelings and emotions, develop empathy and to understand and respect others’ feelings
STAY SAFE / Children and young people feel safe and secure to flourish as individuals within the educational setting
Children and young people know who to go to and where to seek further help from when faced with potential danger, conflict or problems that create barriers to learning
Children and young people follow safety rules and procedures and behaviour codes of conduct during learning, recreational and social activities
Children and young people learn about safety awareness in the wider community, e.g. stranger danger, road safety
ENJOY AND ACHIEVE / Children and young people, as active participants in the personalised learning process, learn how to learn and acquire a repertoire of tools for learning
ICT and multimedia technology is exploited to enhance personalised learning tailored to meet individual needs
A range of teaching strategies and approaches is utilised to enhance personalised learning and creativity
Personalised learning builds on children and young people’s prior knowledge, understanding, interests, strengths and aptitudes
Effective use of ECM data supports the planning of personalised learning and flexible learning pathways
Children and young people have opportunities to self-assess their own learning and receive constructive feedback on what they need to do to further improve their learning and achievements
