Sandton Precinct Crime Trends - Period: 2017-03-13 to 2017-03-19
SECTOR 1:
(Edenburg; Gallo Manor; Khyber Rock; Rivonia; Sunninghill; Woodlands; Woodmead)
Category:
Burglary residential was the main crime committed in the Sector this week.
Times: Times of crimes were mainly between 08:00 to 12:00.
Days: Majority of crimes were committed on Monday & Tuesday.
Pertinent Detail:
In a business robbery incident that occurred at Woodlands Drive, Woodmead on 2017-03-15 at about 19:55, the victims were on duty when approached by five unknown males. The victims were robbed of their belongings. The suspects also took jewellery and electronic equipment. Investigation continues.
SECTOR 2:
(Brecknock Ah; Bryanston; Klevehill Park; Lonehill; Paulshof; Petervale; Rietfontein; River Club)
Category:
Theft out of motor vehicle was the main crimes committed in the Sector this week.
Times: Times of crimes were mainly between 08:00 to 12:00
Days: Majority of crimes were committed on Wednesday.
Pertinent Detail:
In a house robbery incident that occurred at Ballyclare Drive, Bryanston on 2017-03-14 at about 09:00, the complainant (domestic worker) was inside the house when approached by five males. She was tied up. The suspects took electronic equipment and fled. Investigation continues.

Benmore Gardens; Dalecross; Dennehof; Duxberry; Hurlpark; Little Filian; Moodie Hill; Morningside, Morningside Manor; Morningside Ext 40; New Brighton; Parkmore; Sandown; Sandhurst; Strathavon; Sunset Acres)
Category:
Theft out of motor vehicle was the main crimes committed in the Sector this week.
Times: Times of crimes were mainly between 16:00 to 20:00.
Days: Majority of crimes were committed on Saturday.
Pertinent Detail:
In a house robbery incident that occurred at Ridgeway Drive, Morningside, on 2017-03-18 at about 13:50, the complainant was inside the house when approached by three males. The suspects were wearing balaclavas. He was tied up. The suspects took electronic equipment and fled the scene. Investigation continues.
SECTOR 4:
(Buccleuch; Eastgate; Kelvin; Kelvin View; Kramerville; Marlboro North; Wendywood; Wesco Park)
Category: Robbery was the main crimes committed in the Sector this week.
Times: Times of crimes were mainly between 08:00 to 12:00.
Days: The incidents were committed on Saturday.
Pertinent Detail:
In a robbery incident that occurred at Beatty Road, Buccleuch on 2017-03-15 at about 22:00, the complainant was with his colleague driving when he was blocked by a Silver Mercedes Benz and a Bakkie. They were approached by two suspects. The victims were robbed of their belongings. Investigation continues.
