WELSH DENTAL FOUNDATION TRAINING SCHEMES FOR GENERAL DENTAL PRACTICE
APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR DENTAL FOUNDATION TRAINING EDUCATIONAL SUPERVISORS FOR SCHEMES WITHIN WALES FOR SEPTEMBER 2019
Applications are invited from current Dental Foundation Educational Supervisors and General Dental Practitioners with significant experience (normally 4 years) for the following schemes:
- North Wales based at the Glan Clwyd North Postgraduate Centre, Glan Clwyd Hospital, Rhyl
- South Wales based at the Postgraduate Centre, Llandough Hospital, Penarth, Cardiff
- East Wales based at the Postgraduate Centre, Llandough Hospital, Penarth, Cardiff
- West Wales based at the Morriston Postgraduate Centre, Morriston Hospital, Swansea
- Glamorgan Scheme based at Dental Teaching Unit, Porth
- Central Wales based at the Dental Postgraduate Unit, Prince Charles Hospital, Merthyr Tydfil
If approved you will be responsible for the supervision of the practice-based component of Dental Foundation Training in 2019.
CURRENT REMUNERATION:
Trainers grant - £863.51 per month, for a commitment approximating to one session per week of training and teaching duties
Service Costs - £5,096 per month
Foundation Dentist Salary - £31,044 per annum
START DATE: 1st September 2019

Successful applicants will also be required to attend the 5th June 2019 ES preparation course ½ day
