Penn State Harrisburg, School of Behavioral Sciences and Education, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Education-Mathematics Education to begin August 2016. An earned doctorate in mathematics education or curriculum and instruction with a mathematics focus and PK-12 teaching experience are required.The successful candidate will have a strong record of scholarship with potential for external funding; excellence in teaching; and knowledge of current policies, practices, and technologies associated with teaching mathematics.Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a research agenda, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, participate in academic advising, engage in scholarly service, and may supervisecandidates in field experiences. The position offers opportunities for involvement with the Capital Area Institute for Mathematics and Science, engagement in STEM-related activities, and collaboration with theSchool of Science Engineering, and Technologyand the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
