The assessor must assess statements P1– P8 by direct observation.
Element 1 — Clean toilets and washrooms
P1 Prepare the work area for cleaning.
P2 Clean basins and taps so that they are free of dirt and removable marks.
P3 Clean the inside of the toilet so that it is free of dirt and removable marks.
P4 Check that toilets are free flushing and draining.
P5 Clean the outside of the toilet so that it is free from dirt and removable marks.
P6 Clean the surrounding floors, walls and mirrors.
P7 Use cleaning equipment and materials in line with manufacturers’ instructions.
P8 Clean cleaning equipment and materials and store them correctly after use.
The assessor must assess statements P9–P15 by direct observation.
Element 2 — Clean bathrooms
P9 Prepare the work area for cleaning.
P10 Clean bathroom appliances, surfaces, fixtures and fittings, so that they are dry and free from dirt and removable marks.
P11 Clean the surrounding floors, walls, mirrors and other surfaces.
P12 Make sure that plug holes and overflows are free from blockages.
P13 Use cleaning equipment and chemicals in line with the manufacturer’s instructions.
P14 Follow your organisation’s procedures for dealing with customers’ personal property.
P15 Clean cleaning equipment and store it correctly after use. / The assessor must assess statements P16–P18, P20 and P21 by direct observation.
Element 3 — Restock customer supplies and accessories
P16 Check and re-stock customer supplies and accessories.
P17 Arrange customer supplies and accessories as instructed.
P18 Make sure that customer supplies and accessories are clean and free from damage.
P19 Report any stock shortages to the appropriate member of staff.
P20 Make sure waste bins are empty, clean and ready for use.
P21 Identify waste and get it ready for dispatch.
