To whom it may concern,
I have been in Law Enforcement with the Los Angeles Police Department for over 22 years, and in the security business providing Executive Protection, Threat Assessment, and Security Consultation for over 18 years.
In April 2010, my company had the good fortune to provide security protection to the actors and crew that were filming on the islands of Maui and Kauai, Hawaii. The film in question starred A-list actors, who also happened to attract a tremendous amount of Paparazzi attention. On the island of Maui, I was able to hire some off duty police officers to assist with our security concerns, so we were well taken care of on that island.
However, on the island of Kauai, that simply wasn’t the case, and it is because of that situation that I write this letter of recommendation. While on the island of Kauai, one of the client(s) rented an estate owned by Mr. Strong, and managed by a Mr. Mike Lyons, and his family.
Mr. Strong obviously knew what he was doing when he hired Mr. Lyons (Mike), because of his care and the attention to detail that he possesses. Mike not only represented himself well, but also understood the need for ‘thinking outside of the box”. Prior to the client’s arrival, I was able to complete my security screening of the estate, and assess any potential problems with the location itself, ingress and egress, staff, etc…
Needless to say, I was very pleased with the entire experience. Mike Lyons not only was very professional in his managing of the estate, he was always willing to give 100% and go above and beyond of what was and should be expected of him. Mike is truly an asset to the estate managing team, and should be highly commended.
In my many years of dealing with high profile celebrities, I have found that many people forget were boundaries needed to be established. This was simply not the case with Mike Lyons. Mike and his family conducted themselves with the upmost professionalism, class, and expertise of an estate manager. I would gladly recommend to any client that chose to stay at an estate managed by Mike Lyons that they are in the best hands possible. You are the star Mike, and it is because of you that made the clients stay, and my dealings with you the most memorable experience.
