SDI Energy Trade Mission to UAEand Scottish Pavilion at ADIPEC 2013: Saturday 09 - Thursday 14 Nov 2013.

As you are aware, UAE (and in particular Abu Dhabi) has been important oil & gas trading partner for SDI and for Scottish industry for long times. Trade links established between both sides played important role in the development of the industry, the technology and the innovation.
ADIPEC (Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference), now held annually, is one of the largest oil & gas event in the world with regard to number, quality and opportunities presented in this event.
Relevant oil & gas reports etc, will be provided to trade mission members beforehand;

SDI will organise around 50m2 INFORMATION STAND at ADIPEC
The stand can be used and considered as base for trade mission members free of charge.
Each participating company will have own Display Banner and a Shelf to display Company Literature.
We are planning to have a Touch Down Area and a number of Meeting Tables for use by trade mission members during the exhibition.

During the Exhibition, SDI will arrange around two to three focused meetings with relevant Oil & Gas Companies attending ADIPEC;
As the Information Stand will be manned, trade mission members will be able to follow their own meetings wither within or outside the Exhibition.

Depending on interest of participating companies, if appropriate, SDI will arrange and support an optional visit for a number of mission participants to a GCC Country following ADIPEC.

We are in the process to book a single room for each mission member at Abu Dhabi Crown Plaza Hotel, Hamdan Street
Booking is made for four nights from Saturday 09 Nov. Duration of booking could be altered but subject to three nights minimum stay;
Single room rate is AED1100, inclusive of breakfast. This rate is subject to confirmation and might be subject to 16% tax and service charge. Current exchange rate is £1 @= AED6 UAE Derham;
Each mission member will settle own hotel bill on departure

Aberdeen: 11:30 on Wednesday 03 July, at Scottish Enterprise, 41 Albyn Place
Glasgow: 11:00 on Thursday 04 July, at SDI, 150 Broomielaw, Atlantic Quay, G2 8LU

These meetings will be primarily to discuss trade mission arrangements, in-market support and other issues related to the trade mission;
Please let Linda knows if you will attend either of above meetings, if possible by close of play of Friday 28 June.For colleagues who will not be able to attend, I would be happy to arrange meeting on suitable dates or discuss the same through a telephone conference.

SDI will offer trade mission subvention by way of grant of £650 per company towards cost of travel and accommodation subject to conditions mentioned above;

Target number of companies to join the trade mission to UAE and the Scottish Pavilion at ADIPEC is 12.

For colleagues who wish to commission an OMIS report, please let Linda or I know before Friday 19 July. This is a chargeable service and carried out by colleagues at UK Trade & Investment at the Country concerned. This is a subsidised service and companies can get a dedicated report including list of contact details relevant to your company.
