The CEOC received the following text message from Trooper Brooks from KSP Post 16 in Henderson. We have widespread devastation in the area. I cannot contact my Post Commander or anyone at the Post. We have no capability to communicate using our radio network. Our radio network is inoperable. We need communication assets and additional law enforcement personnel in Henderson and Daviess counties.

Commissioner of Corrections has contacted BG Heltzel with an urgent request to provide support to the KY State Reformatory in Eddyville. The earthquake has destroyed the prison infrastructure; there is no power or water. The prison has structural damage. Warden Simpson needs 4 x 100 KW generators and 6 ALS Light sets to increase security tonight. He is requesting an OH-58 with Night Sun and FLIR. He needs water tankers and MKTs to provide food and water for the inmates. He has only 10 percent of his second shift guards.
