MEET CONDITIONS AND COMPETITION RULES 2016

QUALIFICATION
The competition is open to amateurs only, as defined by A.S.A. laws and will be swum under A.S.A. laws as a level 3 licensed open meet. Licence number 3WM160226.
Ages are based on, ages as at 13th March 2016 and will be 9,10,11,12,13,14,11/12 & 13/14 years dependent on the event.
A competitor may compete under the name of ONE club only. Each event will be for two age groups except for 200m events which will be two combined age groups 11/12yrs and 13/14yrs.
Applications for entry must have been correctly made by the 1st February 2016 and accepted by the promoter. The promoter reserves the right to reject any entry. There will be no poolside entries accepted on the day of the meet. SSC reserves the right to include up to two SSC competitors per event with no time. Acceptance of entries will be based on fastest times submitted. All submitted times must be personal best times achieved in competition. If the meet is oversubscribed, the slowest competitors will be rejected in each age group in each event or swimmers who have only entered one event per session or as may be required to give a balanced and manageable meet and fair representation of each age group. Also, in line with level 3 status, swimmers who submit a time outside the consideration times will be rejected. The decision of the organisers is final. Any payment for rejected entries will be returned.
COMPETITION ORGANISATION
Admittance to the poolside will be by pass. Entry cards will not be used this year. Instead, swimmers will need to sign in with their coaches upon arrival to confirm their intention to swim. It is the coaches responsibility to hand the sign in forms to the results desk by the allotted time to enable starts list to be compiled. Anyone not signed in may miss their swims.
SPECTATORS
Spectators are accepted on the basis of available seating capacity. In the event of the seating being all taken, the organisers reserve the right to refuse admission on health & safety grounds. Children should not be seated when adults require seats. / TROPHIES
The first three in each age group or combined age group in each event will receive trophies or medals except for the event winner who will receive a Crystal goblet and also the winner of the remaining joint age group in the 200m free, breast, back and fly. There will be no presentations but trophies can be collected during the day.
A prize will be presented to the visiting team scoring the highest number of points at the meet on a 6-5-4-3-2-1 placing basis.
RESULTS
Results will be posted on the website as soon as possible after the meet.
SECURITY
The promoters advise that clothing or other articles should not be left on the poolside or in the changing rooms. The promoters and the baths staff cannot accept responsibility for consequent loss or damage. Please use the lockers provided. The promoters reserve the right to refuse admission to any competitor or spectator.
Coaches Passes
These include poolside pass, programme, warm-up procedure and a registration list, but not food. Passes are limited to two per club except by special request.
SAFETY
ALL swimmers must have reached the standard of the A.S.A. competitive start award.
RESERVE SWIMMERS
It may be decided to have reserve swimmers if the meet is oversubscribed and this will be confirmed at a later date.
REFRESHMENTS
Refreshments should be available during the meet, provided by Wolverhampton Central Baths, however we cannot guarantee refreshment facilities.
Anything not covered by the meet conditions or by A.S.A. law will be at the promoter’s discretion.
