About the Seminar
Hong Kong logistics industry is facing fierce competition from Pearl River Delta cities and the nearby Asian rivals. The competitiveness of Hong Kong sea transport is diminishing. Even with our air transport industry equipped with the world-class infrastructure, operating systems and expertise, there are doubts around our comparative competitive advantages and sustainability. Through this luncheon talk, Dr. David Pang will share with us his view on such a hot and debatable topic.
About the Speaker
David J. Pang was appointed as Director of Kerry Holdings Limited on 15th March 2007. A businessman, engineer and academic, he previously held senior global business management positions with multinational corporations and taught at universities in North America and Asia.
He has served as Chief Executive Officer of Airport Authority Hong Kong from January 2001 to February 2007 after a successful career with the conglomerate E.I. DuPont, where he was Corporate Vice President in charge of DuPont worldwide nonwoven business and Chairman, DuPont Greater China. During his career with DuPont, Dr Pang held a number of progressively senior positions across various DuPont businesses and with responsibilities spanning the Asia Pacific, North America, Europe and South America since 1980.
He isthe Chief Executive Officer of Kerry Group Kuok Foundation Limited and also serves on the Board of Visa Inc. and South China Morning Post.
