All members were Total Participation this year

Membership dues of $15.50 will be paid to student’s advisor by the first deadline. Payments after the deadline will not be eligible for points.

Shirt Purchased by October Deadline50

Students will have the opportunity to purchase a SkillsUSA black polo for the base price of $17.50. In order to receive 50 points, students must order on the first run. Chapters may elect to have the opposite side monogrammed with program name. Also included could be the student’s name and officer position if desired. For orders after the initial order, only 25 points will be awarded. Additional monogramming cost us up to each chapter and is not covered in the base price.

Skills shirt worn (*10 times by Christmas)5 / 50

Students will receive 5 points each time a SkillsUSA shirt is worn on Friday of each school week. Black polo Skills shirts must be work with Kaki’s! Students are to come by each Friday morning to the C300 PRIOR to school and have their points documented.

SkillsUSA Red’s10

Students will receive 10 points for wearing their blazer on Fridays and being in full SkillsUSA Formal dress. Points will also be awarded on special days.

Fundraiser box 1* / Fundraiser box 2 *50 points each 30 count package

All SkillsUSA students are encouraged to participate in our school wide SkillsUSA fundraiser (Beef Jerky). These funds will be general funds. They will not deposit into a specific chapters account. Students may sell as many as desired. Box constitutes as $30.00 to the general fund.

Freshman ‘Minnow’ Camp - Teach50

A Saturday camp to get freshman interested in SkillsUSA will be held. Those students teaching a specific class will receive 50 points.

Freshman ‘Minnow’ Camp - Help25

Students who will attend to help and not be teaching will receive 25 points.

Fall Festival Attendance 30

Students participating in our fall festival will receive 30 points for attending. (October 30)

Fall Festival Setup / Clean Up75

Students participating in the entire event from setup to clean up will receive 75 points. Partial points will NOT be given. These students must help at both ends.

Resume by 11/1* 50

Each student handing in their resume by November 1st will receive 50 points. These resumes should be contest ready. They should reflect current information, be one page long and should be focused on their pathway objective. These resumes will be submitted to C300.

Resume Training Session30

Students may receive 30 points for attending a resume training session held by a campus CTSO club.

Giving Blood within DCHS25 Per time

Student who provide proof of supporting the DCHS Blood Drive will be awarded 25 points per instance.

Parliamentary Procedure Training Session30

Students may receive 30 points for attending a training session held by a campus CTSO club. If this is a two session training, students must attend both to get credit.

SkillsUSA General Meeting25 points each (Tuesdays once a month)

These points are for students attending the general meeting for SkillsUSA held on the second Tuesday of each month.

These points are for individual pathways that have formal meetings. Typed minutes from the meetings with each members name typed at the bottom are required for points. The minutes must be submitted to C300

Fall Leadership50

Based upon the approval of the school district, we will be taking a ‘group ‘of students to Waco Fall Leadership Training on Friday November 2nd. Student will be required to be available for the trip from 6:30 AM until 6:00 PM. The definition of ‘group’ has yet been defined.

Mo Ranch200

We will work toward taking another group to MO Ranch for the Summer Leadership Training. The primary group that we will focus on will be our school’s upcoming SLT students (Juniors). Depending on funds, additional fundraising may be required by those students.

WLTI300

Washington Leadership Training Institute will be held each September. Based upon district approval, we will look to take students that participated at MO Ranch during the same calendar year.

SLT500

Student Leadership Team. This is a specific group of senior students that may have been elected by their advisor or be the chapter president for their pathway. This team of students will be used to help lead school activities and be available on our administrations request. These student are to be held at the highest level of SkillsUSA and should reflect it in their appearance, preparation, knowledge of skills, school academics, and attitude. Each CLUSTER should have 1 SLT. District or state officers may serve as an additional SLT in that Cluster.

Private SkillsUSA Summer Camp200

This two day mini camp will be open to chapters that have elected their officers for the following year. Advisors must attend and facilitate if their students attend this camp. Details be available soon.

Officer Training Boot Camp200

Students wishing to run as a Dubiski SkillsUSA officer are suggested to attend this camp. This camp will be held in late April. More information to come.

Students that have been elected through our ‘election program’ or who can prove specific knowledge of SkillsUSA will be awarded the points.

Students that have become a district 6 Officer will be awarded 400 points to be added to their point bank for the school year they will serve.

Students that have become a Texas State Officer will be awarded 600 points to be added to their point bank for the school year they will serve.

Thanksgiving Service Project*10

The 2012 Thanksgiving Project will be the food drive for Dubiski Needy Families. Students will receive 10 points for each item they bring in. (Max 10 items) (Turkeys will be awarded 100 points).

This project will be announced shortly. It may be a “Christmas in the Spring” project.

Community Service10(150 points maximum)

10 points per hour, signed documentation MUST be signed. This must be through scheduled CTSO service hours. These are community service hours “helping a community cause” not general service hours.

Students who are able to show proof that they helped another organization within our school may provide documentation on two separate occasions to receive 30 points each time in our organization. This is the only ‘double-dipping’ circumstance. All other points must be earned in our projects. Example: brought cans for Stuco Food Drive.

Program Recruitment 150

Each time we need students to recruit for our programs or help as with Garner, students will receive 50 points per “EVENT” (not day). Maximum points in this area is 150.

Late hours to benefit program50

Students who stay for an extended period of time in the day in order to ‘benefit’ the cluster may be awarded 50 points each time. Not to exceed 150 points total. Advisor documentation will be needed.

Additional Points

Each chapter may give up to 150 additional points related to their events/chapters. Please have these entered in the spread sheet ahead of time. These points need to be standard to the chapter and not just “fluff points” to have a student meet the criteria.

If a student states on a resume / or wants a recommendation that they were an officer or leader in SkillsUSA (other than a regular member) this student must have achieved 300 points during the calendar year.

Points obtained during the current school year only qualify. These must be active points for the year obtained. Points accumulated will have a designated date.

Run for District / State office600 Minimum with all stared items

Students who wish to run for district office or state office must declare so by the last day before Christmas break. The student should have accomplished all stared items and have a minimum of 600 points. (Beginning 2013-2014 – Freshman will need only 200 points to run for District office)

Graduation Cords1000 / 1200 Minimum points

Students who wish to be eligible for Graduation cords may do so by earning 1000 points during the current school year or by totaling the previous year and the current year to have a total of 1200 points. 300 points must be obtained during the graduation year.

Graduation Stole1500 Minimum points

Students who wish to be eligible for a stole may do so by earning 1200 points during the current school year or by totaling the previous year and the current year to have a total of 1500 points. 300 points must be obtained during the graduation year.

Note: Not all events are held each year. Some information is rolled over. All points subject to change or be added.

Point Documentation

Points will be maintained in the SkillsUSA / CTSO office. Large group points will be updated automatically. Example: All students attending District will be added automatically. It is up to each individual student to check / verify their points. Official point slips must be used. Some will require a copy of the meeting minutes.
