SPECIAL CONDITIONS

02/7/2018

1) All contractor personnel assigned to this project to be US Persons only.

2) All work is to occur on first shift Monday through Friday unless the work would generate an unacceptable impact to ongoing operations, such as might be expected from excessive noise generation, shutdown of critical systems (incl. PAO) and/or utilities, etc. All demolition work shall be performed during second shift. Contractor shall coordinate with Owner’s representative to determine acceptability of such impacts prior to performance and need for off- shift work (6:00 PM to 7:00 AM on weekdays and from 6:00 PM Friday to 7:00 AM Monday during normal weekends or from 6:00 PM Thursday to 7:00 AM Monday during 9/80 Off-Friday weekends).

3) Contractor must be cognizant of adjacent common areas (i.e. main corridor, mechanical/electrical rooms, restrooms, etc.) which remain active during this construction project. Contractor is to take precautions when performing modifications to power, lighting, fire suppression and HVAC systems so as not to disrupt utilities in adjacent occupied common area(s). Any planned shut-downs or disruptions to service must be coordinated/scheduled 72 hours in advance with Owner.

4) All work in the area during normal business hours to be coordinated with Owner’s representative.

5) Contractor shall be cognizant of the requirement to protect Owner’s equipment and minimize dust in adjacent work areas.

6) All corridors to work areas must be cleaned daily and be kept open during business hours.

7) Prior to demolition, contractor shall install filters over return air grills to keep sheetrock dust from being dispersed to other areas through the HVAC system.

8) Contractor must protect existing flooring materials and wall finishes when performing all demolition/construction activities.

9) Contractor will be responsible for ceiling grid removal/repair as necessary for HVAC modification.

10) All communications cabling removal and installation shall be performed by others.

11) Contractor shall touch up paint after partitions/equipment have been installed by others.

12) Check all removed light fixture ballasts for PCBs.

13) All used fluorescent lamps shall be boxed. Coordinate with Owner’s Construction Engineer for delivery to Owner’s storage.

14) Ensure all blue security beacons for any single room are on a common electrical circuit.

15) Dedicated superintendent shall be on-site at all times when work is being performed.

16) Contractor parking at/near the jobsite is limited to the lot located at the west side of Building 004. For equipment transfer to/from the jobsite, access shall typically be through the pathway between buildings 197 and 214 but must be coordinated with and approved by Owner’s representative prior to access.
