Excursion – rafting down the Tara river

Starting from Budva at 6.00 , from Petrovac 6.30 - back to the hotel at 20.30

A trip by bus from the coast towards north to the capital Podgorica and further north to towns of Niksic and Pluzine to Scepan Polje area close to the spot from where rafting begins . About at 10.00 we arrive at Scepan Polje and from there you’ll be transferred by jeeps to the river bank. Rafting fiver is on , you couldn’t wait to come to the spot and start. Finally approaching the river bank . Before you board the raft there will be a short course held by your skipper. It’s the time to hear safety instructions, take on waterproof clothes and boots .. take on safety belts and helmets. Safety is important and newest equipment makes you feel comfortable.

At 12.00 rafting begins And there we go, at the beginning easily to the first rapid yelling two skipper man are telling us to hold on tight the next rapid is coming …

The rafting route we take you is 18 km long and is going trough the most beautiful part of the Tara canyon , magnificent nature , deep canyon , rapids , waterfalls along the river bank , crystal clear river water .. all this is a unique experience .

At 14.00 arrival at the camp near the river bank. Here you’ll have a nice break for lunch. Lunch is included in the price of this excursion . Here you’ll try Montenegrin specialties like home made cheese, cream cheese , ham , home made bread , nice cream soup , roasted lamb meat or veal with potatoes. Rafting and excitement makes you hungry you’ll see. At 15.30 another part of rafting begins .. and on 17.30 you finish the rafting at the spot at the river bank where our jeeps are waiting for you to transfer you back to the main road to our bus. About 17.45 a trip by our bus is planed back to your holiday resort.
