REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

September 26, 2016; 6:00p.m. District Office

The minutes from the August 22, 2016 Regular Meeting were reviewed. Isla made a motion to approve as presented. Bonnie seconded and minutes were approved.

The treasury report was reviewed. Susan read the report aloud.

The September 2016 bills were reviewed Accounts Payable: AP1498 through AP1509 totaling $5,269.42 and Payroll: P00961 through P00980 totaling $7,111.94. The AP total was corrected at the meeting reflecting a change in two expense totals. Current F12 balance is approximately $111,111.91 and balance of F38 fund is $57.270.25. Isla made a motion to accept the bills as presented with corrections, Bonnie seconded the motion and the expenses were approved as presented with corrections.

Secretary’s Report:

·  Computer hits to date on SCFD5.org are 8285 (previous 8152).

·  Vision: We are setting a date to begin data entry

·  Wildland Gear Grant: The white hats were returned and replaced with yellow hats, they do not have waist packs available, and order is considered complete.

·  Reminder: Annual Bay Door Maintenance due, decided to wait for another year as there are no issues.

·  FEMA Grant PPE: Grant opens October 11, 2016 and closes Friday November 18, The Board directed Susan to apply again for the PPE Gear and for Larry to reapply on a Tender. We will also apply for a Chassis from DNR in the 2017 Phase I Grant. Bonnie made a motion to include these recommendations, Isla seconded and the motion was approved as presented.

·  Annual Furnace Check: no problems at this time hold off until next year’s annual date or before if we have problems. both St 51- St 52

Correspondence: Susan reported.

·  WFCA 2016 Conference: Isla Durheim will attend all Conference dates, and Snure Law Seminars. Susan to book with accommodations. Bonnie made a motion to send Isla AEP to the WFCA 2016 Conference, Dave seconded and the motion was approved as presented.

·  NW Emergency Medical Service Conf 2016: Scott requested that 4 of our Volunteers attend at a cost of $80/person. Bonnie made a motion to send the 4 volunteers to the Conference, Isla seconded and the motion was approved as presented.

·  WA State Auditor’s Office: Susan presented the 2014 -2015 Audit Assessment Reviews received this month. No problems or oversights noted from WSAO.

·  IRS Billing 3rd Qtr: The billing error that we received on 3rd Qtr reports can now be resubmitted to the IRS for credit.

Fire Chief’s Report: Chief Scott Lynch

1.  Volunteer Status:

·  Possibly have 3 volunteers now for the EMT Class, A Dean, R Cocklereece, M McCann

2.  Station Status Trucks & Equipment:

·  DNR Truck Update: It is in the Paint Shop currently, the paint bid from Freightliner was an additional $5000.00 so we accepted the first bid from The Fleet Paint Shop. Titan has the bed ready to go.

·  Ethanol Gas Additive: Larry Durheim noted that Motion Auto has an additive for ethanol gas. Scott will research.

·  Maintenance by Shawn month: Painted the Can Shed and Reader Board, Smokey Signs, Hose Rack, SCBA batteries replaced, sharpened all hand tools, worked on ventilation system cleaning and E52 generator/fan repair, continued address sign project production and delivery.

·  We have order 150 gal dyed diesel at $1.95/gal, and 180 Unled Gas @ $2.65/gal from Cenex.

·  PPE/SCBA Quarterly

·  EMS/OTEP

·  Hose Testing

Old Business:

Address Sign Project: Bonnie reported we have completed and delivered or had picked up close to 100 signs.

The first Chipper/Dumpster Day will be here at Station 51 on Sunday October 16 with a BBQ, Chipper and Dumpster available for trash and greens disposal. Start Time is 10:00 am

NEW BUSINESS:

The topic of Snow Plowing for the Stations was brought up, but was tabled until the October meeting. Hopefully, we will get some referenced by word of mouth.

The next regular meeting will be October 24, 2016 at 6:00p.m

With no further business presented Isla made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Bonnie seconded the motion and the regular meeting adjourned at 7:08p.m.
