Annual Goal Updates
Ø IT Managers’ Forum –
· Dawn Butler stated the second forum will be held sometime in May 2012. She would like to set up a poll through Doodle for the managers to pick the best date and time for everyone to attend. The forum will be for 3 hours instead of 4 hours. Dawn also spoke about having Kathleen Kesler from JHU Mediation Program attend the forum as a speaker along with Stephanie Reel and Vanessa Bennett who is a recruiter for the Hospital.
Ø Improved Diversity Recruitment (recruitment website) –
· Dawn has viewed the new Development & Alumni website and may want to mirror the style but change the content to fit in with the IT department. To view the website, please click here: http://giving.jhu.edu/careers
Ø Promote Growth & Development of IT Staff –
· Send out an email to remind employees IT has a Mentorship program where there is an opportunity for employees to learn something different and new within IT.
· Mary will try to get this on the agenda for the next Directors meeting in March.

Ø Learn @ Lunch – ORMIS AND ADR
· This session of Learn @ Lunch is scheduled for February 22, 2012 and David Li will be the presenter.
Ø Ouch! That Stereotype Hurts –
· OUCH! That Stereotype Hurts is a program that helps participants learn techniques for speaking up against bias and stereotypes without blame or guilt.
· This seminar was on Friday, January 27, 2012 at MTW from 9am-11am.
· The facilitator was Debbie Sampson, Senior Director for Talent Management and Organization Development here at Johns Hopkins.
· The course is offered through JHU’s Talent Management and Organizational Development team, but it is open to all IT@JH employees, regardless of employer.
New Items
Ø Sexual Harassment in the Workplace –
· This course outlines current laws on sexual harassment and the JHH/JHHSC policies and procedures for reporting sexual harassment. It also provides examples to illustrate the kinds of words and behaviors that might reasonably be regarded as sexual harassment, and therefore should be avoided.· After completing this course, you will be able to determine what is and what is not sexual harassment. You will also know what to do if you believe you have been sexually harassed as well as your responsibilities as a supervisor if a member of your teamhas been sexually harassed.
· The course is available through MyLearning. The course takes about 10-15 minutes to complete.
· It is suggested that management encourage their staff to take this course.
