Board of Selectmen Meeting

Monday, September 21, 2015, 7:00 pm, Town Office

Attending: T. Bickford, L. Smith, W. Faulkingham, C. Carruthers, M. Walsh, R. Hemenway,

M. Riley, B. Harris

1. Call Selectmen meeting to order and adjustments to the Agenda. T. Bickford called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

2. Approve Minutes of Selectmen Meeting of September 8, 2015. Approved 3-0

3. Approve Warrants #11 & #12 that closed September 18, 2015. Approved 3-0

4. Approve Treasurer’s report dated September 18, 2015. Approved 3-0

a.  Bank Reconciliation

5. Approve Tax Collector’s report dated September 18, 2015. Approved 3-0

6. Public Hearing-Approve General Assistance Ordinance Appendices B and C. Motion made and seconded to adopt the state proposed GA Ordinance Appendices. Approved 3-0

7. Masonic Hall/Bobbi Harris’ Driveway. The opening to her driveway on School Street is eroding badly. Water runs from the Masonic Hall parking lot right across her driveway. Much discussion. TM will have Robert from A.R. Whitten & Son look and recommend and immediate and a long term solution.

8. Other:

a.  Town Manager updates: Fire Chief Update-Tate McLean to begin September 30th; Assessor’s Scheduled Visit-October 16th will be in the office for residents that have concerns or questions about their property assessments; TM Training-Will be attending mandatory Elections training in Bangor on September 23rd and 24th.

b.  Selectmen issues: L. Smith-Has heard comments about the need for landscaping at the Municipal Building

c.  Chairman's issues: Cars speeding on Sargent Street has increased. Discussion about the increase of RV’s in Town. An issue for our narrow roads. Possibly a Traffic Management Plan and Ordinance could be pursued.

Regular meeting adjourned at 7:58 pm. Into Executive Session at 8:00 pm.

10. Executive Session: Concealed Weapon Permits. Confidential Records 1 M.R.S.A. § 405(6)(F)

Out of Executive Session at 8:02 pm. Motion made and seconded to issued Concealed Weapon Permit to Warren Blair. Approved 3-0

11. Adjourned meeting at 8:08 pm.
