Bunnings BBQ – Sunday 18th May 2014

We have bread from Homestyle at .90c/loaf (but they would like us to consider a pie drive)

There are 50 sausages in the freezer left from Shave night we can use.

All the softdrinks, water & sauce have been purchased. Matt & Wendy are making ice.

Sausage prices are $3.99 from Choice and IGA, will order in the next day or 2.

World’s Greatest Shave: (please see attached detailed notes)

Total money raised to date $4403.55

BIG thanks to the following sponsors: Gillies Meats, O’Donnells Bake House, House of Hair & Beauty, Coles, Clifton Ice, Mary Carrigan, Nobby Rural Brigade, Jim Stevens ARL

Just as BIG thank you goes to the people that were shaved, waxed or coloured. (Duane Hopper, Kyle Grogan, Tash youngberry, Brett Torcetti, Tim Youngberry, Chappy Matt & Lillyanne Grogan.

Thankyou to Rose and the Torcettis for the major part they played in organising this event. It was a great night with the end results being what matters – that the money raised for the Leukaemia Foundation may just change someone’s life for the better.

Fundraising:

Cricket event – Rose has touched base with contact. We are able to use the Thaiday jersey and make it a sporting night. They have their own auctioneer that brings auction items and profits are split. A query was put forward as to minimum numbers for clinic? To decide whether to proceed with this event.

Raffle – Richard’s contact has similar prices to the Harvey Norman quote but would charge $198 delivery. It’s a matter of spending money to make money and the number of tickets that would have to be sold may not warrant it. We need to check with Nobby Pub to see if they are OK with us holding a different raffle. It was suggested a shorter selling period might encourage more sales instead of say a 6 month raffle. Prize options to be further investigated.

Raceday – an information pack was handed around. We may look into this for a future event.

Other fundraising options: Battery drive, Bare foot bowling, Clifton Race Club – if we can can host a similar event to Toowoomba Race Club, Beer & Wurst night, Golf Day, Endurance Ride

NEXT MEETING: 20th May 2014

MEETING CLOSED: 9.30pm
