Funding/Sponsorship Information

Submit completed application forms via e-mail to HPN Treasurer, . The Hispanic Policy Network (HPN) meets to consider proposals once a month. You must submit your proposals at least 6 weeks prior to your event so that you will have funds available well in advance of your event. No late proposals (submitted less than 1 month prior to the event) will be accepted or considered for funding.It is imperative that you carefully consider application deadlines and plan accordingly.

Funding Guidelines/Priorities

1) HPN funding is intended to provide seed money forprogramming that promotes diversity, not to fund an entire event.Funding will be considered for events that promote the mission of HPN: HPN is a staff and faculty organization committed to the improvement of higher education opportunities for Hispanics. 2) HPN funding will be given priority consideration to active/paid members of HPN and their corresponding programming initiatives.

Procedures for submitting proposal

1) Submit an electronic copy of your completed Application (including a detailed budget) and supporting documentation for program funding to the HPN Treasurer, or upload to our Texas State University Website Applications are due at least one month prior to the event date. Proposals deemed complete will be distributed to HPNofficers and reviewed at the next scheduled meeting.

2.) An organization representative MUST present the proposal orally and answer questions at an HPN board meeting.Failure to do so will result in your proposal not being considered and placed on the agenda for the next board meeting.If a representative is not present at the 2nd meeting, the proposal will be considered void.

3.)HPN will notify the contact person for your event whether your proposal has been approved for funding and the amount of funding approved within one week of the oral presentation.

4.) A representative of the organization receiving the funds, must then contact HPN Treasurer,o discuss the procedures for acquiring the funds.

5.) A completed Post Evaluation Form must be submitted to HPN.

Within 2 weeks after the event is held. Failure to submit thisPost Evaluation Form will disqualify youfrom receiving funding for future events. Please see the Evaluation Form for details.

Post Evaluation Form

Return this form and all of your original receipts in an envelope to the HPN Treasurer within 2 weeks of your event.Failure to return this form within the two-week deadline will result in your organization deemedineligible for future funding. If moved to the status of ineligible for future funding, organization leaders will be required to meet with HPN President to request reinstatement to “Active” status of eligibility.
