CRF (Colac Otway) P/L began operations in May 2000 to process lamb and veal for Australian and overseas markets. Established as a preferred supplier for Coles Supermarkets, the company is the newest and most technologically advanced meat processing facility of its kind in Australia.
CRF’s mission is to provide quality meat processing services at world competitive prices. It is a national supplier of process lamb and veal to Coles supermarkets and also exports to markets throughout Europe, Asia and America.

CRF Employment application process involves:
Stage 1
· CRF application form completed and returned to Colac Otway Workforce along with your Resume and signed Position Description.
· Notification of CRF information session and Interview time
NOTE: Applications may take 3-4 weeks to initiate process

· Supervised Drug Testing process
· Medical Testing process

· Successful applicants to complete Q Fever immunisation process*
· Successful candidates to participate in CRF induction process
· Commence Employment
*Q fever immunization will require successful applicant to have an initial test for previous exposure, then full immunization injection will be after 7 days from initial test. – Please ask Colac Otway Workforce staff for more information

Health & Fitness
The position you are applying for involves physically demanding meat processing work, which may involve lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending and stretching to handle, cut and process meat from animal carcasses.
The duties are conducted while standing and walking around. Knives, hand tools and machinery are used. Exposures may include damp, cold (min –2o) conditions or detergents.
We therefore request that you disclose any pre-existing injuries or diseases of which you are aware and could reasonably be expected to foresee could be affected by the nature of the position you are applying for.
In the event of any recurrence, aggravation, acceleration, exacerbation or deterioration of a pre-existing condition about which you have failed to make the above disclosure or have made a false or misleading disclosure, you will not be entitled to compensation under the Accident Compensation Act.

The fully integrated plant incorporates a small’s chain, boning room and value adding facilities.
The company currently employs 300 people and a further 40 through contract services. Each day the company processes product to a retail value of approximately $540,000 which is forecast to grow to over $600,000 by 2003.
