Deaf Parenting UKiscelebrating their 10 years Anniversary and to make it more special, we are organising an exclusive Awards event to recognise people for their valuable contribution and positive differences to the lives of Deaf parents, their children and their communities.
There are 6 awards listed below, which are explained below and aimed for either individual Deaf parents or professionals working with Deaf parents and service providers (including health, social services, education, community/ charitable organisations/ groups).
All of our finalists will be invited to attend the stunning Awards Ceremony on Friday 7th October 2011 at The Princess Alexandra Hall, RoyalOverSeasLeague, Over-Seas House, Park Place, St James’s Street, London, SW1A 1LR.

A personal recognition of friendship, for an individual e.g.: friend, family or even a neighbour/ Samaritan who have supported a Deaf parent through a difficult time and nomination are encouraged from children of Deaf parents or their families who have found an individual worthy of this award. Campaigner of Deaf Parents Award:
For individual who has fought against all odds for the benefit of Deaf Parents, fighting for the right of access to services of Deaf Parents and for their children. Please describe why you are nominating. (500 word max)
