EXECUTIVE CHEF JIM LA PERRIERE BRINGS ELEMENTS OF SPRING
TO THE HOLLAND FARMERS MARKET
Personal executive chef Jim La Perriere is back at the Holland Farmers Market this Saturday, June 2 at 10:00 am for the weekly Chef Series. Highlighting favorite products from the Market, La Perriere will demonstrate how to make iced ginger tea, which will accompany a spring vegetable salad and Alsatian onion tart with crème fraiche and garlic baby arugula.
La Perriere began his career in Northern California, where he worked for a number of prestigious restaurants in Sacramento and studiedunder nationally recognized chef BibaCaggiano. He continued his studies at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, graduating first in his class.
Following graduation, La Perriere returned to California and opened Enotria Café and Wine Bar in Northern Sacramento where he earned andmaintained a four star review. His food has appeared on the covers of Sacramento Magazine, has been featured in various newspapers and has also been a regular guest chef on a number of regionally live cooking shows. With 28 years of experience, he currently works in Saugatuck as a personal executive chef, focusing on private events, corporate team buildings, demonstration dinners, weddings, and most recently, private group cooking classes.
