A week bus tour to five Russian towns / - In my opinion, travelling by bus isn’t comfortable, especially at night: we wouldn’t be able to sleep well.
- Our fellow passengers may be too noisy. The visit to the museums would be too brief. We might make a mess of the trip.
- We would stay in each town for such a short period of time that we couldn’t appreciate their beauty / - I think it is a good opportunity to learn a lot about various cultures and lifestyles.
- I am interested in architecture and we will be able to see beautiful historic buildings.
-It might be fun to try traditional Russian food at different restaurants, to get acquainted with Russian customs.
- We would have a good chance to meet many interesting people and make friends with our fellow travellers.
Seaside resort / - There wouldn’t be much to do except staring at the ocean all the time.
- I don’t like the idea of lying in the sun all day long. It might be dangerous because of the ultraviolet radiation.
- There’re usually too many noisy children on the beach. / - On the contrary, there are many things that could be done on the beach: riding water bikes, diving, snorkeling, water skiing, windsurfing, etc.
- We could set off early in the morning when there are few people and the sun isn’t dangerous.
- We could eat a lot of fruit and vegetables that are cheap in summer.
Ski resort / - They say it is often too cold and windy there. I can’t stand icy winds.
- We don’t have any skiing equipment and it’s very expensive to buy.
- Downhill skiing is very risky. We might easily get injured. / - Sorry, I don’t agree with you. We would be able to enjoy magnificent views and fresh air.
- Experienced coaches could teach us downhill skiing.
- We might also see some rare plants and animals. That’s really exciting.
Boat trip / - We may get seasick if the sea gets rough.
- The cabins might be small and I feel uncomfortable when I have to stay in such rooms for a long time.
- Boat trips are extremely expensive. I’m afraid my parents wouldn’t be able to afford it. / - Modern ships are safe and comfortable.
- Travelling by sea could be great. Looking at water around you makes you feel relaxed.
- There are a lot of things we could do on board the ship: going to a disco, playing chess or darts, watching TV and lying in the sun. They usually offer a wide range of entertainment and activity programmes.
