SDC Training Center Update – 25 Minutes
1. Process Based Training Update – Development continues with modules and hoping to be ready for panel review in February 2017. Will continue to work with pilot counties so as to be ready in May. The demo modules were sent out in December, but due to IT issues they do not know how many users have looked at the modules. While the initial demo modules email stated, “No feedback at this time,” both the Board members and the SDC staff felt that counties should send in their feedback after they review the demo modules. They have received feedback from Broomfield County, but no other county. Still working on developing the Evaluations for PBT, but no update at this time.
2. SDC Staffing Update – CDHS is fully staffed and HCPF has 1 vacancy.
3. SDC Budget Update – In line to receive new PC’s next year, but unsure what the cost will be at this time. Unsure if they will be charged to replace the training room PC’s as well.
4. Other SDC Trainings – Program areas dress rehearsal for Builds is scheduled; March CBMS Build also in development and will roll out March 14. Working with OIT Trainer as well on both builds. Trainers waiting for screens that are being currently developed, but the concern continues that trainers do not have what they need to develop the trainings.
5. Expanding Foundations – All programs have been updated, with the exception of LTC. Meeting was held with various counties regarding Non-MAGI training and that training is currently being updated.
6. Cognos Training - still waiting to hire a developer. Hoping to know more in Feb. once the budget has been approved.
7. RRR Module Training – 124 users have completed the modules and 68 are in process. Some concerns have come in about the training, but training was approved by all State program areas. Concerns received for example was PPP & MA, other concerns will be forwarded. Email was sent from HCPF regarding how much time can be accredited to the MA Incentive Training which is 2 hours & 15 minutes.
8. Client ID Training – This will become one of the CBMS WBT Training modules (5) and will be mandatory for all users and are looking at those being completed by June 30, 2017. SDC will be sending the communication out about the training.
Old Business – 25 minutes
- SDC used for other trainings - Completed.
New business – 45 minutes
- Discussion and concerns about the Process Based Training. (Feed Back from Counties) – General feedback from counties was shared. An email will be sent to all counties letting them know their feedback is welcome and to please share any and all positives and concerns. Feedback received on the Monday development calls – feel dismissed and not sure information is being used. Some modules will require attending the “Flipped Classroom,” should this also be offered as Virtual Classroom?
- Discussion of service desk tickets and the identification of training needs.OIT – Possible perception is it is easier to contact the HD, rather than researching the problem and getting resolve. OIT can send a report.
- Responsibilities for the OIT Trainer. OIT – The Trainer has been relocated to Fremont County and continues to develop some in-house training. They were looking to use Captivate 9, but SDC uses Starlight/Storyline. Also looking at putting quick function trainings out on the portal. Security Initiatives with PEAK Pro continues so as to assist offices to get set-up and needs met. Hired a PEAK online assistance person and will be developing something similar to the CBMS F1 (help). Is there an evaluation process being developed for the OIT Trainers? Currently feedback is being received by the supervisor. Evaluation process regarding training developed by the OIT trainers? Send past feedback to OIT.
- Discussion about feedback from counties on the current New Worker Trainings – Feedback and concerns from counties was shared regarding Expanded Foundations training. Could the length of the breaks/lunches be shortened so as to get trainees through the training more efficiently? This will be shared with SDC and requested they review.
Adjournment: 3:30 pm (Requires a Motion to Adjourn) – Motioned and Passed.
