Contract to Host a PCLA Show This contract is between PCLA and Show Administrator. By signing this contract both parties (PCLA and Show) agree to the following criteria:
The show will:
1. Host a show for exhibitors 21 years or younger as of January 1 of the current year.
2. Conduct show in accordance with PCLA guidelines.
3. Type Classes are determined by Weight.
Classes may be sorted at the discretion of the show committee but must include three (3) divisions.
4. Members will compete and receive points in five age divisions for Skill-a-thon and Showmanship. Age divisions are:
• Division 1: under 8 years of age
• Division 2: 8-11 years of age
• Division 3: 12-14 years of age
• Division 4: 15-17 years of age
• Division 5: 18-21 years of age
Peggy Mock and/or Rene Cambruzzi will make and run the skill-a-thon at every show.
Maximum of 15 showman per class, if maximum is exceeded in a class show is responsible for breaking into multiple heats. Show must determine top 5 in each age group.
** Show must provide PCLA with results of First through Fifth (1-5) place and list all participating exhibitors.
**Show must provide PCLA with Division Champions and Reserve Champions
**Show must provide PCLA with Overall Grand Champion and Reserve Champion
5. Submit complete results to Bill Gardner . Show Rules and Regulations
1. There is a $100.00 per show sanction fee. Please make payable to PCLA and include with application. $50.00 will be reimbursed to the show if show is conducted in accordance to stated agreement (contract).
2. $1.00 per entry of all species at sanctioned show will be paid to PCLA.
3. PCLA will only sanction one show per date. 4. PCLA will sanction shows that are in good standing from prior year first.
5. PCLA will award open dates on a first come first serve basis.
6. Failure to comply with PCLA sanctioning and rules may result in dismissal from the PCLA show circuit and $100 sanction fee will beforfeited.
7. PCLA sponsor banners must be hung in the Showring.
8. Show must be held in state of Pennsylvania
9. No parents, friends or family members are allowed in the showring with an exhibitor. All exhibitors must be able to be in the show ring by themselves. A show official may be requested to assist an exhibitor if necessary.
10. ALL Grand/Reserve Champions must have pictures taken for PCLA.
11. Each show must provide a separated/monitoredarea for PCLA participants to take the skill-a-thon test. An adult also must be present to help kids read questions if needed.
PCLA Responsibilities
1. Post your show entry form and results on our website (
2. List your show date in annual magazine publication (must receive show confirmation by Feb 1)
3. Calculate points for your show.
4. Provide you with a list of current members prior to your show via email.
