Overall Purpose
1.1To recruit new members for the CHSW Lottery and to raise awareness of CHSW as directed by the Lottery Officer.
Main Tasks
2.1Recruitment of new members for CHSW’s Lottery by door to door canvassing, canvassing, where approved, at CHSW’s own or supporter events, or on site during tour days.
2.2To raise awareness of CHSW and CHSW events and fundraising activity as required. This may include combining leaflet drops for events with door to door canvassing, and talking positively and informatively to people about CHSW whilst canvassing and whilst at other supporterevents.
2.3To ensure you have up to date knowledge and understanding of key Lottery principles and legislation, attending CHSW training and keeping yourself updated as to CHSW Lottery policies and procedures. This includes ensuring all new members recruited are 18 or over, and that we do not recruit new members where there is an indication of a gambling problem.
2.4To follow CHSW lone worker guidelines.
2.5To handle cash only within stringent CHSW procedures.
2.6To handle complaints in alignment with the CHSW Lottery Complaints Policy.
3.Other Tasks
3.1To ensure that a positive image of CHSW is projected at all times.
3.2To adhere to CHSW health and safety procedures.
4. Commission Structure
4.1Commission of £30.00 will be paid for each new member recruited who signs up to the lottery via standing order regardless of how often their payments are taken.
4.2Payment of commission will be made as soon as possible upon receipt of the first payment being received by CHSW.
4.4Commission of £30.00 will be payable on new credit card or cheque players if a full annual subscription of £52 is received.
4.5Commission of £15.00 will be payable for all new credit card or cheque players where a subscription of £26 (6 months) is received.
4.6Commission will be paid on standing order forms received for donations unrelated to the lottery, as long as the monthly amount donated is more than (or equivalent to) the lottery amount.
4.7A bond of 15% from each commission paid will be held securely by CHSW, to cover cancellation clawbacks as agreed below. This bond will accumulate up to £500, with any monies in excess of this being paid automatically to the canvassers on a monthly basis.
4.8Any cancellations by players within a 4 month (calendar period) of sign up will incur a clawback (shown below), to be automatically taken from the canvassers bond by the lottery administration team. Weekly notification will be given when clawbacks occur.

4.9Clawbacks will be calculated individually, based on what the cancelled player has already paid to CHSW, up to a value of £25.00 and will be advised to the canvasser.
5.0Cancellation rates will be monitored and reviewed regularly by the CHSW lottery team, and feedback forms will be sent to a selection of signed up and cancelled players, to ensure canvassers are working in the way in which the CHSW lottery team have set out in this document.
