General Information - (Limited Entry Trial)

Paws4Fun Agility Club would like to invite you to its first AAC (Agility Association of Canada) sanctioned Agility Trial.This trial will be held at their outdoor facility ; 2840 Taylor Rd,Kemptville, Ontario.

Title Trial: The dogs will be divided into four height groups. The Masters class is open to dogs that have an AADC title; the MastersGames are open to dogs who have three corresponding Advanced Games Legs (or two legs if earned prior to Jan 1/09). The Advanced class isopen to dogs that have an ADC title; the Advanced Games are open to dogs who two corresponding Starters Games Legs (or one leg if earned

prior to Jan 1/09). The Starters classis open to dogs who have not obtained an ADC title. Starters Games events are open to dogs who have not earned aleg in that Starters Game (prior to Jan 1/09), or two legs in that Starters Game (after Jan 1/09).

Obstacles: A-frame, Dog Walk, See-saw, Weave Poles (12), Table, Flexible Tunnels, Collapsible Tunnel (rubber inside chute), Break Away Tire Jump, Ascending Spread Jump, Double Bar Jump, Single Bar Jumps.Electronic Timing.

Facilities: The trial will be held outdoors on the Paws4Fun Agility grass fields. Cleated footwear with plastic cleats is permitted. No metal cleats please. Portable washrooms are available. Bring your own seating.(For the field not the toilet!) There is plenty of space for setting up shade tents and we recommend that you do as shade is limited. There will be access to water for the dogs and a pool for them to cool off in. Bring your own drinking water.

Dog Aggression: All dogs must be kept in an x-pen, crate or on leash when not in the ring (this includes the grounds, parking lot and fields). Any dog engaging in aggressive behaviour at any time will be required to leave the grounds. In such cases, no refund of fees will be paid.

Ring Etiquette: If you are not entered in a specific event, you are NOT permitted in the ring during the walk-through. If you are entered in an event and you are coaching others (or being coached by others), please show consideration for the rest of the competitors by doingyour coaching OUTSIDE the ring and do not block other competitors, or hold strategy discussions in the ring during the walk through.

The following motels have indicates that they will accept guests with dogs under certain conditions. Please check with the motel when making your reservation. There may be a pet deposit. Check with the hotel when making your reservations.

Awards (please advise the Scorekeeper if your dog achieves a Title or Award of Merit at the Trial): There will be a titles sheet near the score keepers, please fill it in if you think you have achieved a title.

 Qualifying Rosettes for all event qualifiers in Starters and Advanced and ribbons in Masters

 Ribbons minimum awarded for 1st through 4th place, in each of Mini & Open

 A prize for the best run in each event.

 Title Rosette for any dog achieving an AAC title at the trial.

THERE WILL BE A 30 MINUTE BREAK BETWEEN THE ADVANCED EVENTS AND THE STARTERS EVENTS.

Check-in time for Starters competitors will be advised in the trial confirmations. COMPETITORS (The 30 minute break will permit the Advanced competitors to move out prior to the Starters competitors moving in). Measurementfor Starters dogs will be available from the Starters check-in time until 10 minutes prior to the 1st judge’s briefing (the check-in time will be advisedin your confirmation).

** Familiarization & Warm-up: Familiarization will not be available. 2 jumps will be available for warm up throughout the trial.

Notice to Participants:

To keep the event running smoothly, you will be expected to keep track of the running order and to be in the "on deck" area TWO dogs prior to your run. Competitors who qualify for title in a trial prior to this one, may move up providing the information isreceived by the Trial Secretary at least 5 days prior to the trial date. Move ups will not be permitted during the trial.

Competitors, through the submission of an entry, acknowledge that they know the AAC rules and regulations. All dogs must have an AAC ID number.

NOTE: AAC regulations require the handler to obtain an ID card directly from the AAC; AAC ID cards

will NOT be available for sale at the trial. Please use the enclosed AAC ID card order form to purchase an ID card for each of yourdogs.

PLEASE NOTE AS THIS IS OUR FIRST TRIAL WE WILL BE ASKING ALL COMPETITORS TO SHOW THEIR AAC CARDS ON CHECK IN.

There shall be no refunds for acts of God, inclement weather, missed runs, entries withdrawn after the closing date, or in theevent a dog and/or handler are dismissed from competition, regardless of the reason for such dismissal, or in the event the dog is absenton the day of the trial. Refunds will be issued for dogs withdrawn from the trial prior to the closing date and dogs that come into heat orare injured, providing a veterinarians certificate is received by the Trial Secretary at least 48 hours BEFORE the start of the trial.

There will be a $5 administration fee withheld for all refunds.

I understand and acknowledge that participation in the Event carries certain risks, including, but not limited to injuries (including serious injuries and death) to myself, the Dog, another dog under my control or persons attending as my guests (my “Related Parties”), damage to property and other losses. I waive any and all claims that I have or may have in the future against, and release from all liability and agree not to sue the Organizing Club or any of the directors, executives, committees, representatives, employees, volunteers or agents of the Organizing Club (the “Personnel”) for any injury, death, property damage or other loss that I or my Related Parties sustain due to any cause whatsoever, including negligence, breach of contract, breach of duty, statutory or otherwise, or mistakes or errors of judgment of any kind. 3. I assume full responsibility for the conduct of myself and my Related Parties during the entirety of the Event. I agree to indemnify and save harmless the Organizing Club and the Personnel from and against any and all claims that may be made against them or costs, fees, expenses or liability (including, without limitation, lawyers’ fees on a solicitor and own client basis) incurred by the Organizing Club or the Personnel that may arise due to: any act or omission of myself, my Related Parties or any party for whom I am liable at law; or aggressive behaviour by the Dog or any other dog under my control. 4. I have been given the opportunity to read and understand the terms of this Agreement before signing it, and have in fact done so. I understand that by signing this Agreement, I am restricting my legal rights and I sign this Agreement voluntarily and of my own free will.
