A HOUSE RESOLUTION

HONORING DREHER HIGH SCHOOL’S SAT TEAM FOR WINNING THE 20012002 AAA SOUTH CAROLINA SAT COMPETITION.

Whereas, Dreher High School won the AAA South Carolina SAT competition sponsored by the South Carolina Department of Education and the South Carolina High School League; and

Whereas, the South Carolina SAT competition was established in 1999 to promote excellence and to place an emphasis on recognition of high SAT scores in this State; and

Whereas, the AAA South Carolina championship distinguishes these students as champions of the competition among schools in their athletic region, champions in the Lower State competition for South Carolina, and in the final competition among AAA schools in South Carolina; and

Whereas, the students on the Dreher High School SAT Team have met challenging standards, completed rigorous preparation, and demonstrated their excellence in both math and verbal skills as tested on the Scholastic Aptitude Test; and

Whereas, the team members who worked hard for this honor and deserve recognition are:

Whereas, Jeanne Stiglbauer, Principal of Dreher High School, Cliff Barrineau, SAT Team Coach, as well as the school’s faculty, staff, and parents are to be commended for providing the team with their support. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, honor and congratulate the Dreher High School SAT Team for winning the 20012002 AAA South Carolina SAT competition.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Jeanne Stiglbauer, Principal of Dreher High School, on behalf of the Dreher High School SAT Team.
