Contract Name: Village of Warburg Boulevards 2016
The Village of Warburg has received funding from the Alberta Recycling Management Authority for a 2016 Municipal Demonstration Project which consists of:
A) the installation of pour in place “Rubberstone” Alberta recycled tire sidewalk material.
on the west side of 52 Street from 51 Avenue south to the alley (approximate length 270 ft. approximate width 5 ft.)
B) The installation of Alberta recycled tire “crumb” on the west side of 5212-50 Avenue
(approximately 787 sq’ ft’)
Installation must be done by professionals including base preparation (see attached) and must include a one year warranty on the installation.
The Village of Warburg will remove the topsoil, and fill in with A 4-6” gravel base, and compacted as per the approved installers requirements in advance of the installation.
OFFER:
Having examined the Place of Work, and all matters associated with the project, we the undersigned, hereby offer to complete the Work for the Unit Prices and Lump Sum Prices stated herein, which include the supply of all Products, except those specifically stated to be supplied by others, all labour, supervision, services, construction, machinery and equipment, overhead and profit, with such Unit Prices and Lump Sum Prices representing the entire cost to the Owner for the completion of the Work.
Bid prices are to exclude the Goods and Services Tax on all materials and services supplied by the Contractor and incorporated into the work.
The Owner will include the applicable Goods and Services Tax payment on the monthly and final progress payment.
We agree that if the Owner orders us, in writing, to perform extra work that is not reasonably inferable from the specifications or drawings as being part of the Work, we will perform the same and shall be paid in accordance with the terms of the General Conditions applicable to Changes in the Work.
We agree that the estimates of quantities shown in the Bid form are estimates only for the purpose of comparing bids on a uniform basis, and that the Owner does not represent the actual quantities will correspond therewith and that we will be paid at the bid unit prices for the actual quantities handled. No claims will be entertained arising out of changes to the project quantities.
We agree that the Owner may delete from the Contract a portion or portions of the Work without any change in the unit prices, even if such deletion is for the purpose of allowing another Contract to perform the deleted portion during the Contract Time.
SCHEDULE OF QUANTITIES AND PRICES
Payment for work done under this Contract will be made in accordance with the following:
Where quantities are included in the Bid Documents and Unit Prices are submitted, payment will be based on the actual quantities performed on the Work as verified by the Project Manager and the Unit Prices bid.
Where Lump Sum Prices are submitted, payment will be based on the respective items of work at the Lump Sums bid.

SCHEDULE OF COMPLETIONS
The Contractor shall begin the work within the period in the Notice to Proceed and prosecute the work in such a manner as to achieve the Completion Date(s) stated below. Completion includes all clean up and rectification of all deficiencies.
Date of Completion July 31, 2016
All works, including provisional items if requested, rectification of all deficiencies, clean up and issuance of a Construction Completion Certificate, shall be dully completed no later than the 31st of July 2016 (the “Completion Date”).
The Contractor agrees that if a named Subcontractor is not acceptable to the Owner, the Contractor shall name an acceptable alternative Subcontractor.
INSURANCE/WCB CERTIFICATE
Within fourteen (14) days after receipt of Notice of Acceptance of the Bid and prior to the commencement of the Work, the Contractor shall provide the required certificates of Insurance and WCB coverage.
