CALL TO ORDER, INTRODUCTIONS and OFFICIAL ATTENDANCE

The meeting was called to order at 10:32 am. Charles Fields performed roll call and announced there was a quorum.

DEPARTMENT REPORTS

Enforcement - E. Gantt reported the enforcement unit referred approximately 2% of the closed enforcement complaints for administrative discipline consideration. In April the Department held a public hearing to determine if there was a need for a cease and desist ruling in Bronx and Queens. The public comment period is open until May 15.

Trends Committee – D. MacKenzie submitted the committees’ recommendation for listing and buyer agents to receive a maximum equal credit of 250 points when applying for a broker license.

Education – M. Mastrobuono reported a tentative date of May 17 for the subcommittee to discuss CE topics regarding agency and diversity. Recommendations to the board will follow. Additional wording regarding local concerns has been added to the final draft of the broker curriculum.

ACTION ITEMS

Charles Fields asked for a motion from the board to approve the February 24, 2016 meeting summary. Motions were made and the meeting summary was unanimously approved. Charles Fields asked for a motion to approve the Fair Housing regulation. The Department reported no public comments have been received on the regulation. Motions were made and the meeting summary was unanimously approved.
