2014/15 SCHOOL DIRECT

TRAINING PLAN

The form must be completed by a representative of the employer school and address individual training needs.

The training plan is likely to be modified at various times during the training following reviews of training needs and progress towards meeting the standards.

E1Length and coverage

All trainees must meet the knowledge and understanding requirements for the appropriate age ranges when they are assessed against the QTS Standards. Training plans must demonstrate how the candidate will acquire the relevant subject knowledge by the time of their QTS assessment. Training plans should give particular emphasis on how subject knowledge and understanding including pedagogy of teaching will be enhanced.

Training days can comprise of:

•Taught sessions in age phases or subjects

•Assignments and tasks with clear objectives and reviews

•School based training, including team teaching and joint planning, where trainees are provided with guidance and support and achieve identified objectives, which may differ according to individual needs.
