Vice Chancellor for Educational Services & Technology Report

No report

IRB Report

One IRB request was approved for a PV employee working on his Ph.D in psychology. He is doing a pre/post survey in a LV COLL100 course.

HLC Committee Report

·  Criteria Co-Chairs have been selected and they are beginning to recruit for committees. There will be a meeting in June where the HLC portal will be presented.

·  HLC Accreditation Criteria Co-Chairs must submit PowerPoint Slides by July 1, 2013 for 3rd Annual Summer Symposium on Student Learning

Survey Reports

·  No report

MCC Open Pathway Improvement Project Report

·  Cohort Data for spring 2013 is due July 1, 2013.

·  Cohort 3 and 4 Flash 5 PowerPoint slides and 1st Semester Reports due by July 1, 2013.

·  Kristy presented a list of Discipline Outcomes and General Education Outcomes chosen by disciplines

Higher Learning Commission Update

·  Our biennial report is due between July 15th and August 15th giving an update on our assessment project.

·  Next meeting of HLC cohorts in St. Charles, IL – November 20-22, 2013

Assessment Reports

·  Human Diversity data is due by July 1, 2013.

Old Business

·  Program Review Retreat, June 21, 2013 PVEC 04

§  The Program Review process needs to be revised and started for HLC compliance. Plans to develop a procedure on implementing Program Review in the spring of 2014 will be the focus. The Program Review timeline for discipline cohorts would mirror the Assessment cohort timeline. Anyone interested in joining this meeting is welcome to attend.

·  3rd Annual Summer Symposium on Student Learning at MCC on Friday, 7/19/13, PVEC 019 (3rd & 4th cohort Flash-Five presentations are scheduled)

·  Title III grant was submitted June 3rd. We should know in September if we received it.

·  The 3rd round of MO Wins Grant is being worked on. It is IT focused and is due July 3rd.

·  Several are meeting with North Central to exchange Program Review and Assessment Information, September 27, 2013

New Business

·  The Assessment website was reviewed. Much of the information and data is outdated. Kristy and Melissa will be updating the website to reflect current assessment information, projects, and reports.

·  Next meeting: 3 PM on September 12, 2013 in the AC Boardroom.
