Background
The Safari Browser has built in pdf functionality that is not compatible with the Adobe Onboarding forms used by HealthcareSource in the Onboarding module. If the user does not have Adobe Reader installed they are unable to send completed documents to HR, the send button depresses on the form however the form is not sent.
With the introduction of Safari 8.0 Additional security options have been included that prevent pdfs from opening – the security setting must be temporarily changed to allow the onboarding documents to open.
The following document outlines the steps required to install and select Adobe Reader to send Onboarding documents, and to update the Safari security settings.
