Meeting Minutes: Jan 14, 2016

President‘s Report:

Brian reviewed Financial standings and check book records.

Jake submitted 2016 Girl’s Budget.

Tom would like to use last year’s Budget record as 2016 Projected Budget. Union Turf Fees would not apply. Additional expense on Boy’s side to replenish 6 practice pinnys to have a complete #1- 30 set prior to try outs. Elizabeth/Jodi to order through apparel vendor.

Brian proposed to keep dues at $125 on each side. Discussion took place regarding using our square account for credit card option for Dues. Board agreed to offer the option for Credit Card payment for Dues at $130 (for added fees) and $125 cash or check.All present Board members voted and approved.

Treasurer’s Report: Keith Fitzgerald not present but emailed in check book records.

Budgets: 2016 Final Budgets or Revisions to be submitted and voted upon next meeting

New Business:

Lacrosse Booster Club and Coaches Meeting: March 1 at 5:30

Meet the Team Night:

Girls: 3 levels: Tuesday 3/15/16 Time and location TBD

Boys: 3 Levels : Wednesday 3/21 HS cafeteria Time TBD

2nd Annual Gala: Friday 3/4/16 7- 10 or 10:30 at Riverstone Manor in Scotia. 10th Anniversary of BH Lacrosse with commemorative items to be offered. TicketPrice:Increased to $50 from $45 and will include 1st drink. Committee is meeting, acoustic performer, increased # of “wine pulls” less silent auction items. No programs.

Equipment Donation/Swap:

Elizabeth suggested players donate used or unwanted equipment for a Swap to help fundraising efforts. Liability in regards to helmets and sales were discussed. JodiAnkabrandt and Jodi McClernan may team up with the Youth Lacrosse program to organize a swap where charitable donations can be accepted.

Apparel:

Jodi has proposed changing Vendors to Atlantic Sportswear.All Board members were asked to look at the Express store options for consideration.

Follow up: Jodi and Brian have decided to stay with Wicked Smart, 2 stores (male/female) and open the webstores just prior to Gala to kick off the season and beat the ordering rush.

Coach’s Apparel: New Boy’s JV Coach Matt Botta will need a BHBL jackets/ zip up through Wicked Smart. (same one as ordered for coaching staff in 2015) Tom would like to have all 8 staff members receive a collared shirt this season.

Jake will take care of Girls Coaches needs.

Girls Charitable Game Event: April 15, 2016 BHBL vsBspa Night Game

This year’s game will benefit Military Suicide Awareness Programs through Saratoga County. Jodi Ankabrandt serves as a peer to peer representative with at risk Veterans and will be working with Jake on this event.

Tenth Anniversary Alumni GameFor Boy’s Side: tentative dates are being discussed with Friday Night June 17th a possibility.
