Training Reference Guides (TRGs) combine slides, screen examples, talking points, hands-on exercises, quizzes and references to related training tools and are designed to compliment the Core Group training conducted by your MEDITECH consultant. Using TRG Cross References to Find Additional Training Tools
At the bottom of many training reference guide pages, a footnote is included to direct you to additional training tools that may supplement your understanding of a particular concept or routine. These references list online Help topics are coded to help you easily the type of training tool to which they point.
For example:

To find a help topic referenced in the Training Reference Guide, follow these steps.
A. Verify the Application File of the Help Topic
Each help footnote reference includes the term "please see the following <application> help file". Be sure that you are accessing the help file mentioned in the footnote.
B. Access the Help File
If the MEDITECH client/server application is on your desktop, go to the main menu and press <F1>. If you have the help file on your PC, click on it. If you have neither a MEDITECH application nor the help file on your PC, ask your system administrator for assistance in obtaining one of them.
C. Finding a Topic within the Help File
- From the help system's table of contents, press the Search button.
- Press the Find tab.
a)If you have not created a word list for this Help system, the Find Setup Wizard Window appears. Using the Find Setup Wizard, select the size of the database or word list to be created. (The default choice of minimize database size is sufficient.) After a few moments, the Find Window appears.
b)If you have created a word list, the Find Window appears.
- In the field at the top of the Find screen labeled "1 Type the word(s) you want to find", enter the topic's title exactly as it appears in the reference.
- Look at the bottom portion of the Find screen, labeled "3 Click a topic, then click Display." Review this list of topics until you see the referenced topic. You may have to scroll down to see your topic.
- When you find the referenced topic, click twice to view it.
