Before Reading
Vocabulary: Picture walk emphasizing planting, watering, raking, growing
Activate/Build Prior Knowledge: Talk about seeds and the things necessary for seeds to grow-- etc
Gardens / Phonics: suffix “ing” in the words planting, watering, raking, going
