At each site, the James Place staff and volunteers provide services unique to the differing needs of their clients. James Place Immigration Services located at James Place Waukesha and James Place South Side provide legal advice and assistance in filing applications for immigrants and refugees.

As the Wisconsin affiliate of the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, LSS provides comprehensive resettlement services to refugees fleeing from war and persecution around the globe. Currently, LSS has the capacity to welcome and resettle 500 refugees per year within a 50-mile radius of Milwaukee or Madison. Our program provides high-quality services, including initial housing, food, clothing, school enrollment for children, English lessons, and assistance with job placement.
