What is Operation: West Wing?

Operation West Wing is a military simulation game played using airsoft weapons that shoot 6 mm plastic bb’s. Participants at the event will participate in multiple types of missions that may involve sabotage, raids, and patrol ambushes.

What is the Game About?

One of the opening battles of Operation Iraqi Freedom was fought by sole platoon of US Army Rangers against Saddam Hussein’s Fedayeen. The rangers were assigned to destroy a number of SCUD launchers that were positioned near the border of Jordan. It is believed that Saddam Hussein intended to launch missiles into Israel when the United States invaded Iraq. The Ranger platoon entered Iraq from a secret base in Jordan called the West Wing and successfully assaulted and destroyed their targets after an intense 4 hour battle.

Why Do We Play?

The main reason to play is to have a safe and fun time for those who enjoy military simulation. Marauders Tactical Training also holds games like Operation: West Wing as a way of remembering the difficulties of serving in the military.
