It looks like warmer weather is just around the corner. Please remember to have your child wear appropriate clothing for the cooler mornings and warmer afternoons. We encourage you to also put their names in any sweatshirts/jackets so they can be returned to the correct owner if found. We are also beginning to see more and more students coming to school with cell phones. If your child has a cell phone it is to remain in their backpack throughout the school day. Please talk with your child if they have a phone. Report Cards will be sent home next Friday, April 22nd in your child’s Friday Folder, please take a minute to review their current progress. Class Pictures will be taken on Wednesday, April 20th. Order forms are being sent home with your child on Friday, Friday April 15th. Students should have their order, with payment included, to give to the photographer on picture day. Individual pictures will be taken of only those students who have a completed order form with payment for a selected individual package. There is no “make-up” day for class pictures.
Boys Night Out - "It's that time of year again. Calling all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade boys! Get ready for Boys Night Out! An evening of relationship building and fun for just our boys and their dads, male guardians, uncles, grandads, or mentors. The event will be on Thursday April 28th, from 6:15-8:15pm. We will have bowties and neckties workshops, martial arts and boxing workouts, aircraft creation contests, and a special presentation. Quarter 4 P.E. Homework - All students in kindergarten through 5th grade should have brought home their yellow Quarter 4 P.E. homework. This quarter we are focusing on being active for at least 60 minutes every day. We have filled in part of day one with our students in P.E. Please encourage your students to complete the homework, have you sign it, and return it to school by April 29th. Thank you for helping our Guilford students become healthy and fit!
Field Day Volunteers Needed - Guilford Elementary School will hold its Olympic Field Day and volunteer luncheon on Wednesday, May 11th, (Field Day rain date May 13th). Green Fest - Hammond High School is holding its 3rd Annual Green Fest on Saturday, April 16th from 10am to 2pm.
There will be fun for the whole family and all ages! Home Depot will have items for kids to build, Scales and Tales will be bringing animals for shows at 11:00am and 12:00pm, and various local organizations will be present. There will be prizes and a raffle. We are collecting dried out markers to recycle; 10 markers = 1 raffle ticket. Hope to see you there!

Hammond Boosters Camps! Sign up now for Hammond HS Boosters sports and activities camps for incoming 6th thru 9th graders. Camps run from mid-May thru beginning of August.
