H O M E G R O W N G R A C E

God has burdened our hearts to put faith into action through service. Homegrown Grace is a church-wide mission that will give us all a service opportunity to help feed the needs of our own. Within this framework of give and take we can partner together using our time, talents, and resources to make a huge impact in our community- right here & right now! Please visit the magnetic display in the narthex for details or email Missy Loyet at for more information.

SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE: The following items are being collected for HACSM to distribute to eligible families with children for the upcoming school year. Please drop off donations in the church lobby or take directly to HACSM at 900 Chestnut Street.

Plastic 2-pocket folders Post-it Notes (2” x 2”)
Highlighters Ear Buds
Colored Pencils Pencil Boxes
Facial Tissue Spiral Notebooks (Wide Ruled Only)
Clorox Wipes Loose-leaf Paper (Wide Ruled Only)
Large Glue Sticks Fiskars Scissors (Pointed Tip Only)
Trapper Keepers Elmer’s Bottled Glue (No School Glue)
Black Dry Erase Markers White 3-ring binders

We are still in need of workers for the HACSM Community Garden located behind the Baptist church just south on Poplar Street. What a great way to Feed the Needs of our community! If you are interested, please contact Jonell Safford 304-4731 or Marilyn Fickbohm 709-6158

NURSERY VOLUNTEER HELP - We are in need of loving individuals to serve in our nursery for one hour, once a month. The nursery is for children 3 years old and younger and is offered over the summer during the 9:15 service and for the rest of the church year it is offered between services (9 – 10am) and during the 10:15 Ignite service. If you have any interest in this ministry, please contact the church office for more details.

Looking for Greeters: We have been calling our ushers the “Welcome Team”. But many/most ushers did not “sign up” to be both ushers and greeters. Therefore, the Worship Board proposes we have 2-4 dedicated “greeters” who are out-going and comfortable meeting new people and introducing them to others, but are not involved in the ushering tasks. If you've noticed that God has given you the gift of loving to see and meet people, please consider joining the Greeters at EvUCC! Just call the office at 654-7459.
