Academic Information
Teaching Year – IMPORTANT INFORMATION / A typical BSU academic year sees students attending modules that run throughout the entire academic year. We don’t have many modules that run from the beginning of semester 1 to the end of semester 1 or from the beginning of semester 2 to the end of semester 2. Assessments are adapted for those students who are only on exchange for one semester so that they are doing half of the course. However, you will be issued with a catalogue of modules that you can choose from that have been identified specifically for Erasmus, International Exchange and Study Abroad students where modules can be assessed in a semester timeframe.
Language of Instruction / All courses at Bath Spa University are taught in English.
Course Load/Credits / You will enrol in 120 credits worth of classes but complete half of these classes to achieve a total of 60 Bath Spa credits (for one semester).
*120 Bath Spa credits = 60 European Transfer Credit System credits (ECTS)
Module (class) Catalogue / TBC
Transcripts / At the end of your placement at Bath Spa University, we will issue you with a Transcript of Credit Awarded. For semester 1 students, it will be issued in March. For full year students and semester 2 students, it will be issued in July.
