Two 2-Day Refresher Courses: Analysing Speech and Language in Clinical Practice

Grammar: Weds13th20th April 2005

Phonetics: Thur14th21st April 2005

DETAILS

We are holding two 2-day refresher courses in April 2005, one on Grammar and one on Phonetics. In each case, the first day is an introductory session and the second a follow-up session. The courses will take place in the Language Resource Centre.

The structure of each day of the sessions is as follows:

9.30amRegistration

10am – 1pmMorning session (theoretical and practical)

1pm – 2pmBuffet lunch

2pm – 5pmAfternoon session (practical and applied)

The teaching atmosphere is informal, and you can ask all the questions about grammar and phonetics you ever wanted to ask. We will be looking at authentic clinical data in the practical and applied sessions. If there is anything you would specifically like to see covered in these sessions, please let us know.

Course fee

£120 per two-day course (includes lunch)

Discounted rate of £220 for both courses.

You can also do the first day of each course only.

Those who would like to attend either or both of the courses are asked to complete the details on the attached form. The deadline for receipt of registration form and registration fee is Tuesday 1st March2005. Please note that if payment is not received by this date, your place may be allocated to an applicant on the waiting list. Participants will be capped at 20 per course.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation by applicants

In case of cancellations made prior to 1st March 2005 after payment has been taken, the applicant will receive a refund of approximately 75%.

We regret that we cannot promise to refund fees paid on cancellations received after 1st March 2005. However, we are willing to offer a place at a reduced rate on future refresher courses.

Cancellation by the course co-ordinator

Please note that we need a minimum of 12 applicants to run the course. In the event that either course is cancelled due to lack of numbers, a full refund will be made to applicants. We aim to inform you of any cancellation by Friday 18th March 2005. Applicants’ details will be kept on file and we will forward information about subsequent courses.
