RULES – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Fell Pony Society Showing rules will apply. In addition:
- The Fell Pony Society and Midlands East Support Group do not accept liability for any loss of property or any accident or damage to any animal, vehicle, spectator or exhibitor, and all the entries are accepted subject to this condition.
- All ponies must be the bona fide property of a fully paid full, junior or associate member of the Fell Pony Society.
- All ponies must be registered with the Fell Pony Society.
- Riders must wear a riding hat that complies with the current safety standard.
- Ponies must not exceed 14hh for all classes in rings 1 and 2. Judges are at liberty to request a pony to be measured. JMB certificates will be accepted - pony and certificate must be presented to the judge. Overheight registered ponies may enter classes in rings 3 and 4.
- Exhibitors should not enter classes judged by their pony's breeder or family.
- Ponies need not be vaccinated against Equine Flu, but any pony showing signs of coughing, or any virus complaint, will be asked to leave the show field.
- Entries close 1stApril 2010. No entries on the day except for classes7, 14, 15, 18, 25 & 26.
- Ponies may only be entered once in any class
- Entry fee £5 per class for pre-entries or any one pony entered in 4 different classes may enter further classes for £1 per class. Entries on the day per rule 8 charged at £6 per entry. Entry fees will not be refunded.
- Complaints - to be made in writing with a fee of £20 (will be refunded if complaint upheld).
- Timetable provided for guidance only. Class times cannot be guaranteed, and classes may clash.
- Competitors must wear their correct number while in the rings.
- FPS membership number MUST be stated on entry form.
- The show organisers realise that ponies that live out in natural conditions, or working ponies who are clipped for welfare reasons, may not be ready to appear in the condition they will later in the season. As a consequence we are not offering Best Turned Out rosettes and will ask judges not to penalise ponies for clipped coats. Hairy ponies especially welcome!
- The judge’s decision is final.
- Dogs are allowed in the lorry park only and must be kept on leads.

Bury Farm Equestrian Centre offers overnight stabling (inc hay) for approx £26 per nightin permanent stables with rubber matting and a small straw bed. Day stabling also available. Horse showers on site. Booking forms available via e-mail from or ring Bury Farm directly.
You are welcome to spend the night in your horsebox or in a tent, but there is no electric hookup. Human showers and toilet facilities are available on site.
Parking is on hard standing. The show will take place in three indoor rings. There is an on-site café. A photographer will be in attendance. There is a large tack shop on site.
Vet on call and first aid provision in attendance.
DIRECTIONS:
From M1 Southbound: leave at Junction 12 and
follow A5120 to the A5
From M1 Northbound: leave at Junction 9 and follow A5 north.
Both routes: Turn off A5 on to A505 towards Leighton Buzzard, then left on A4146 and Slapton is signed to the right.
From M40: leave at Junction 9 and follow A41 to Aylesbury, then A418 towards Milton Keynes. Then turn onto A505, then right onto the A4146 and Slapton is signed to the right.
