Task:
Follow up to Dance training: discuss your school’s approach to and opportunities for dance within the curriculum with your SBT and class teacher.

Task:
Collect together samples of planning, observation feedback, assessment, children’s work, marking and photographs to include in your portfolio as Evidence Bundles. These bundles of evidence need to demonstrate the impact you have had on supporting the children in your class to made progress.
Begin working with your SBT to self-assess your Evidence File against the Final Evidence File review form.

How can you provide cognitively challenging activities to EAL learners with limited English?
Should EAL learners be allowed to use their home language?
How should EAL learners’ progress and attainment be assessed?
What was the impact of the observed strategies on the progress of the EAL children?

Look at where science resources are kept in the school including any outdoor learning environments. Discuss any risk assessments that may be necessary before using them eg. a pond.

Find out how science is assessed in your school.

Task:
Find out about the school’s PE dress policy for staff and pupils plus the rules on the wearing of jewellery by children.
If you have not already observed a Gym lesson at any point and there is an opportunity to do so, do (in any key stage).
Look at the National Curriculum for PE with particular reference to the sports you may be required to teach next year – make a note of any you feel may prove challenging due to knowledge or your skill level.
How has your school used its Primary PE and Sports Funding? If equipment has been bought try and find it. If staff training has taken place ask teachers if they now feel more confident. Find out how aware staff are about the money that is available and what input they have had into how it is spent. / Trainee / All / Copy of the PE Curriculum highlighted and annotated.
