McAfee SaaS Email Protection & Continuity - Intro of Services

Below is some important information for you about your organization’s new McAfee® Email Protection & Continuity service. In addition to the information specific to your role, we have also provided a sample email for you to send to your end-users that announces the new service and explains the Spam Quarantine. Welcoming your users to McAfee is completely optional.

Spam Quarantine Reports
A feature of the email protection service is the ability to view certain suspect spam messages before they are permanently filtered. Your employees will begin receiving daily Spam Quarantine Reports in their email box that contain those suspect email messages. These Spam Quarantine Reports will enable your employees to more easily and conveniently manage spam by safely viewing the messages that have been quarantined and providing options for how they would like the messages handled in the future. The Spam Quarantine Report will only be sent to employees if they have messages identified as being high likelihood spam.

Spam Control for Outlook

While McAfee Global Intelligence continually monitors email spam and threats – updating their filtering rules and heuristics upon immediately identifying new threats – a spam message may occasionally enter the network. The McAfee Spam Control for Outlook button is a simple and effective plug-in to further control spam. End users can simply click on the link below to add this button to their Outlook message bar. Clicking the button will immediately deliver the suspect email to McAfee GTI for evaluation and future filtering.Download this FREE service today at

Message Continuity

McAfee Message Continuity is a feature of your email defense that enables your end users to continue accessing their email even in the event of a server outage through a web-based interface. There are two ways your employees can access Message Continuity in order to continue sending and receiving emails:

  • Direct Login to the Control Console at
    Once on the Console, your employees will have to log in. If they do not have a password, or do not remember it, they will need to click the password assistance link on the login page. It is important that employees determine a password prior to an actual outage. From there, they can click on the Message Continuity tab.
  • Access through their Spam Quarantine Report
    An end user can access Message Continuity by clicking on “View List of All Quarantined Messages” link at the bottom of their latest Spam Quarantine Report. Once they have successfully logged into the Control Console, click on the Message Continuity tab.
