FEES AND CHARGES POLICY
PURPOSE
The purpose of the “Fees and Charges” Policy is to establish a formal process for calculating fees for the North Peace Leisure Pool.
POLICY
- DEFINITION OF AGE CATEGORIES FOR ADMISSION FEES
For the purpose of General Admissions, age categories are:
- Family $11.00
At least one adult parent/guardian with up to five (5) dependent children
An additional fee of $1.00/person will be charged with 6 or more children
At least one grandparent with up to five (5) grandchildren
Children/Grandchildren must be under 19 years of age
- Senior $3.50
Persons 60 years of age and over
- Adult $4.50
Persons between the ages of 19 up to and including 59 years of age
- Student $3.00
Persons between the ages of 13 up to and including 18 years of age
- Child $2.50
Persons between the ages of 03 up to and including 12 years of age
- Tot Free
Persons up to and including 02 years of age
- BASE RATE
- For calculation purposes, the “Base Rate” equals the “Adult Rate”
- ADMISSION FEES
- Family = 1 Adult plus 5 Children

- ECONOMY TICKETS
Economy tickets are:
- Six (6) Admission Tickets for the price of Five (5)
- Twelve (12) Admission Tickets for the price of Ten (10)
- Available in all age categories (Family, Senior, Adult, Student, Child)
- MONTHLY PASSES
Monthly Passes are available in Three, Six and Annual categories.
- The Monthly Pass is calculated as 10 swims x the number of months x the general admission fee less a percentage

Rate = 1 swim x 3 months less 10%
Six Month Pass
Rate = 10 swims x 6 months less 15%
Annual Pass
Rate = 10 swims x 11 less 20%
Note, the 11 months takes into consideration miscellaneous closures (maintenance, swim meets, etc.)
- FAMILY PASSES
- Family Passes can be calculated as follows:
Three Month Family Pass
One (1) Adult Three Month Pass plus $25.00 per each additional family member up to the maximum Three Month Family Rate
Six Month Family Pass
One (1) Adult Six Month Pass plus $50.00 per each additional family member up to the maximum Six Month Family Rate
Annual Family Pass
One (1) Adult Annual Pass plus $100.00 per each additional family member up to the maximum Annual Family Rate
- AQUAFIT
The Aquafit is a Drop-in Exercise Program, and the rates are deemed to be the same as the applicable (age category) General Admission Rate.
- Regular Program
The regular rate applies to those 13 up to and including 59 years of age

- Seniors Program
The senior rate applies to those 60 years of age and over
$5.00
- The base rate is deemed to be the Adult General Admission Rate plus 25%
Seniors Program = 80% of base rate
- The “Family” or “Child” rates are not available for this program.
- CHILD MINDING
Child Minding is currently offered in conjunction with Aquafit Programs. This service may be expanded to include other day time adult oriented programs (Adult Lessons, Length Swimming, etc.) depending on demand for the service.
- The Child Minding rate to be calculated as the Child Admission Fee x 1.5

Swimming Lessons offered include:
- Red Cross AquaQuest Program
- Parent & Tot and Preschool
- Can Swim (Adult/Teen Lessons)
- Royal Life Saving Society – Life Saving I, II, III
- Royal Life Saving Society – Bronze Medallion/Bronze Cross/A.E.C.

Prices available in Pool Price List Book
- POOL RENTALS
Lap and Leisure Pool Rentals would be available in the following categories:
- Private
- Adult Sports Groups
- Youth and Special Needs Sports Groups
- School District No. 60
- Private Schools
The Lap and Leisure Pool are deemed to be separate rentals and therefore the rental rate applies separately to Lap or Leisure Pool.

For calculation purposes:
- Private Rentals
Child Rate x 1.5 x 25 (participants)
- Adult Aquatic Sports Groups (Muskeg Divers and Others which may be identified from time to time)
Private Rental Rate less 20%
- Aquatic Youth, Special Needs Sports Groups, Summer and Winter Swim Clubs
Private Rental less 40%
- School Programs (instructional and recreational) to recover staff costs and based on the following:
Pool Attendant II rate plus 30% (benefits) per hour per staff member required
- MISCELLANEOUS SALES
It is the intent to recover, at minimum, 100% of all sales
- Manuals/Resource Materials
Cost plus 10% to cover shipping and handling
- Vending Machines
Minimum 20% of gross sales
- Locker Rentals
Coin Operated Lockers are set at 25 cents
