News Update: Hello Folks!

It's been a while since you've had an update on activities happening with WVAPT. WVAPT has been in a transition from paper to electronic media since last year and we continue to experience "Technical Difficulties" as we grow in this area. Please be patient as we change and evolve to adapt to current trends. Any assistance, suggestions and hands on help would be appreciated! Although the Spring Conference was delayed, due to speaker cancellation, we produced a Fall 2014 Conference, "Stop Guessing, Get a CLUE!" We collaborated this year with WVU Counseling Department and it was held at WVU in Morgantown, WV. Although, it was a change of venue, we had a newly built building with state of the art technology, a high tech class room, dynamic presenters enjoy and lots of fun! It was a "Smashing Success!!!", and went so well, we anticipate new members to join our ranks. We encourage you to check out the pic's on Facebook and share your thoughts. The National Association for Play Therapy Conference is taking place next week in Houston, Texas. WV will be receiving the Gold Branch Award for 2014 and I will be attending with the mission to make contacts with presenters for our Annual Conference next year. The Fall Conference helped re-energize our passion to share the benefits and value of Play Therapy as a specialization and expertise to offer the community! Our current mission is revitalization of the Board and Membership. I am looking for members who are interested in learning or expanding leadership roles and promoting Play Therapy!
