ONLINE SERVICES
If you wish to, you can now use the internet to book appointments with a GP, look at certain elements of your medical record online and request repeat prescriptions for any medications you take regularly. Before you can begin using these Online Services, we require you to register and consent to use the system. Please contact the surgery for more information about how to register for this service.
APPOINTMENTS
Consultations are available by appointment only and can be made from 9am in person at reception, or by telephoning.Routine appointments with GPs can also be booked online through our website, using your unique registration details (available from the practice). Nurse appointments must be made over the phone or in person at reception.
Urgent cases are seen on the day. Please contact the practice by telephone only and advise the receptionist if your need is urgent, giving an indication of the problem. The triage nurse or duty doctor will telephone you to discuss your problem with you and decide upon the most appropriate course of action, which may include being be given a same day appointment.
If your condition is non-urgent we aspire to offer a routine appointment with a doctor within two working days, however this may not always be possible.You also have the option to book up to eight weeks in advance with your own doctor if this is more convenient.
If you would like a chaperone present during your consultation please advise the Receptionist when booking your appointment. A member of staff will act as a chaperone.
Cancellations
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. Don’t feel bad about cancelling an appointment, we understand that things crop up and we are always happy to rearrange. If you cancel then these appointments are available for other patients.
You can cancel an appointment in several ways:
- Online through our website, more than 24 hours before the appointment
- Online using your unique username and password
- Drop in and cancel in person
- Call the Practice on 01672 512187
PRESCRIPTIONS
The practice has an on-site dispensary. Patients living more than a mile from the nearest pharmacy may have their prescriptions dispensed if it is more convenient.
REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS
If your long-term medication is provided on repeat prescription, you can order in a number of ways:
- In Person - drop your repeat slip in at dispensary with the required items clearly marked.
- By post - Please send to the practice, enclosing a stamped, self-addressed envelope
- Online - using your unique username and password
- By Fax- to 01672 516809
We cannot accept orders made over the phone.
