New Deal Project Rubric Coach Williams

Assigned: February 6, 2018

Group Project: 3-5 people per group (Depends on the class size). Groups must be approved by Coach Williams February 9.

Assignment: Each group will create their own original program to be a part of the New Deal. It must either be a RELIEF, RECOVERY, or REFORM program to help end the Great Depression.

This is to be an original idea. Do not take the idea of another program and rename it (i.e. don’t create a plan to build dams in the Tennessee Valley to bring electricity to the south, and then call it something other than the TVA). You will present your program in front of the class and must get it approved by a two-thirds vote.

You will be required to PRESENT to the class a PowerPoint/Prezi to propose your program along with a poster board with your programs logo on one half and information about the program on the other. This information should include: the name of your program, the goal of the program, how will it work, how much it will cost, predicted effect, where will it help, and how long it should be in place for. Be as specific as possible with all of your information. The more specific the better your grade will be.

All requirements for the project can be found in the rubric on the back side of this sheet. If by chance you have a problem and cannot complete the project, or a group member is not participating, come see me and let me know. I will not listen to any issues pertaining to the project during the week that it is due.

THIS IS DURING THE GREAT DEPRESSION. Nothing with any technology created after 1940 such as: computers, cell phones, jets, etc.
