What:
To develop a “Generic Tool” based on “Mumbai Navigator” which can be used for any town or city.
Why:
To help the common people to reach their desired location by simply searching for the route of their destination on the mobile.

How:
Phase 1: Study of Mumbai Navigator
Phase 2: Surfing the Internet using the “Template”for various Bus route using Navigation tool & Listing the urls.
Phase 3: Report having list of navigation tools on mobile and populate it with data.
Phase 4: Extract data from schema, analyze & identifying the queries for mobiles.
Phase 5: Provide an interface to populate the schema, develop “Generic Tool” and user interface on mobile.
Phase 6: Project Report submission.

Project Planning Template – (PPT)

Goal: To develop a “Generic Tool” to port “Mumbai Navigator” on mobile. The tool will have the following components: A user interface on mobile to view the routes, scripts to create database schema, interface to populate the database with the relevant data. Using this tool the network provider can provide a user on mobile information for easy traveling in any unknown town or city.

Enhanced Goal: To provide an interface for any city or town that can be browsed .

Given: Existing online site of Mumbai Navigator.

Assumptions: That the Service providers use the schema design which populates data and it facilitates easy travelling.

That there are open source navigation tools available on mobiles.
